WHAT IS PRILOX LIDOCAINE 2.5% & PRILOCAINE 2.5% CREAM
Prilox cream in a big 30g tube is made by reputable Neon Laboratories. Prilox cream is a local topical anesthetic solution which contains Lidocaine 2.5% (25mg) and Prilocaine 2.5% (25mg). Primarily used for the following conditions – anal fissure, local anesthesia (numb tissues in a specific area), piles, a topical anesthetic for tattooing. You should not use Prilox cream topical if you are allergic to any type of numbing medicine. You are allergic to any other local anesthetics of the same class (such as prilocaine or bupivacaine). You must not be given Lidocaine if any of the above apply to you. If you are not sure, talk to your doctor before you are given Lidocaine.
- Lidocaine topical (also known as lignocaine, and xylocaine) works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to a brain which decreases the sensation of pain. Lidocaine belongs to a class of medications called local anesthetics. It works by stopping the sensation of pain by acting on peripheral nerves in the body. Lidocaine topical (for use on the skin) is used to reduce pain or discomfort caused by skin irritations such as sunburn, insect bites, poison ivy, poison oak, poison sumac, and minor cuts, scratches, or burns. Lidocaine topical is also used to treat rectal discomfort caused by hemorrhoids. Lidocaine (also available as Lox2) is safe if used in the prescribed dose for the prescribed duration as advised by your doctor.
- Prilocaine topical also belongs to a class of medications called local anesthetics. Prilocaine works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to the brain which decreases the sensation of pain. Prilocaine topical is used as a local anesthetic to numb the skin/surfaces during superficial minor surgery, medical procedures, and topical anesthetic for tattooing.
