Excela® moisturizes skin along with reducing shininess and pore size.
Acne vulgaris is associated with an impaired water barrier function. These patients lack healthy, protective fats on the epidermal surface, whose function is to retain moisture in the skin and prevent transepidermal water loss (TEWL). Current acne treatment options can induce damage to the stratum corneum thereby increasing the transepidermal water loss. Dry skin and skin irritation are very important reasons for nonadherence to acne treatment. Hence, nurturing the skin barrier in acne patients and keeping the skin properly hydrated is essential.
Barrier repair therapy with the use of specific emollient/moisturizing products will prevent skin barrier alteration, reduce the frequency and intensity of anti-acne-specific treatments cutaneous side effects, improve patient adherence to drug treatment.

Main active ingredients of Excela® Moisturiser
Niacinamide – helps build cells in the skin while also protecting them from environmental stresses, such as sunlight, pollution, and toxins. Treats acne. Niacinamide may be helpful for severe acne, especially inflammatory forms like papules and pustules. Over time, you may see fewer lesions and improved skin texture.
Bark Extract – It is a bark extract of the African tree called Enantia Chlorantha. It has antibacterial properties, regulates the sebaceous glands, and prevents the formation of acne. It reduces sebum secretion, minimizes enlarged pores, and effectively cleanses the skin.
Oleanolic Acid – might be an ingredient you don’t hear about as often as Salicylic or Glycolic, but that doesn’t make it any less effective. This is a particularly potent ingredient when it comes to reducing the production of excess sebum, while simultaneously reducing free radicals.
Myristyl Malate Phosphonic Acid – this ingredient enables the skin to recreate its own natural moisturizing factor (NMF) by regulating the water and lipid balance in the skin. It stimulates skin cells to increase the re-uptake of water in order to rebuild and maintain the skin’s moisture barrier.
Zinc – halts the over-production of keratinocytes and helps clear up acne over time. Zinc stops the over-production of oily sebum, and it also lowers the impact of DHT androgen hormones that induce sebum in response to inflammation and stress.
Copper has the ability to work below the epidermis, or outer layer of skin. This is why peptides are able to help generate elastin in collagen deep within skin tissues.
How to use Excela® Moisturiser For Oily / Acne Prone Skin?
- Shake the Excela® Moisturiser air-less pump before use
- Dispense 1 g of Excela® Moisturiser by a single press on the palm
- Apply liberally on the face and massage gently for 30 seconds
- Use morning after bath and night before bedtime
