Description

WHAT IS ADAPALENE 0.1% GEL

Adaclene® gel produced by reputable and well known Cipla and contains retinoid component – adapalene with 0.1% concentration. Adaclene is an alternative to famous Differin cream and is a topical gel with similar to vitamin A properties retinoid-like compound and a keratolytic component, it helps the skin to renew itself naturally and used to treat acne and help remove pimples, whiteheads, and blackheads and prevent new ones forming. Adaclene Gel with adapalene generally prescribed by dermatologists to treat severe acne in people who are at least 12 years old. It works by decreasing acne formation. Adaclene or Differin gel may also be used for purposes other than those listed above, for example as anti-wrinkle or skin care solution. Always consult to your dermatologist prior start using any adapalene topical gels.

Deriva MS® is made by reputable Glenmark and containing Adapalene 0.1% in Microspheres. Adapalene 0.1% is a strong third-generation topical retinoid primarily used in the treatment of mild-moderate acne, it works by stopping pimples from forming under the surface of the skin, and is also used (off-label) to treat keratosis pilaris as well as other skin conditions. Vitamin A derivative Adapalene, meanwhile, works to correct the irregular skin cell shedding that’s irritating your skin and clogging your pores. Deriva MS Adapalene 0.1% Gel is currently marketed by Galderma under the trade names Differin, Adaferin and “Epiduo® Gel” – this acne treatment gel which is new to the market also contains benzoyl peroxide component. Deriva MS Gel has the most technologically advanced time-release formula with a micro-gel base for deeper skin penetration absorbs faster with special Microsponge molecular delivery system called – Microspheres.

Not all Adapalene gels are the Microsphere formula. The regular Adapalene Differin or Adaferin gel is not a time-release formula, and the gel itself contains a high amount of denatured alcohol. Deriva MS Adapalene 0.1% Microspheres formula does not contain as much denatured alcohol and is an opaque color. The difference is that Deriva MS Adapalene 0.1% Microspheres uses a special delivery system called Microsponge, which is composed of tiny, sphere-shaped particles with a porous surface. The porous surface allows for a sustained flow of the Adapalene out of the sphere and is what makes Adapalene in Microsphere a time-release product. It’s worth noting that the spheres are so small that you even cannot see or feel them in the product.

Adaferin® gel made by Galderma. Adaferin gel contains adapalene, which is a retinoid-like compound in the nucleus of skin cells and changes the way they behave. Acne is often associated with puberty which is when a surge of androgen hormones can over-stimulate the sebaceous glands (oil producing glands in hair follicles). Skin cells that are shed from the lining of the hair follicle become trapped in sebum forming a plug below the surface of the skin, clogging the pores, which then attracts bacteria, so that the clogged pores become infected and inflamed, causing an acne outbreak. Adaferin/Differin adapalene gel penetrates deep inside your pores to control the buildup of dead skin and sebum that leads to acne and also blocks the hardening processes of the outer skin layer (keratinization and cornification) promoting the shedding of old hardened skin cells, while at the same time promoting the growth of new skin cells. Adapalene also blocks immune cells getting to the site of acne formation which inhibits the inflammatory reaction. This stops pores becoming clogged, infected and inflamed, reducing the outbreak of new pimples, whitehead and blackheads (comedones) as well as clearing up existing blemishes.

Adaferin or Differin gels and Tazorac (tazarotene) are the two synthetic forms of tretinoin. Adapalene, a derivative of the naphthoic acid, possesses similar biological properties of tretinoin, but has higher lipophilicity and increased photostability (i.e., stability in light). Unlike tretinoin, adapalene does not bind to proteins within the cell. Instead, adapalene only binds to specific receptors RAR-β and RAR-γ. Adapalene gel 0.1% has efficacy similar to 0.05% isotretinoin, yet with fewer side effects. Adapalene is useful in the treatment of melasma, as proven in one study involving Thai users.

Avoid getting adapalene gel in eyes, nos holes, or on lips, if it does – wash with water. Do not use adapalene gel on sunburned, windburned, dry, chapped, eczema, wounded, irritated, or broken skin. Avoid using products that contain AHA or glycolic acid. Avoid exposure to sunlight or artificial UV rays, always use a sunscreen (minimum SPF 15) and wear protective clothing.

USING DERIVA MS 0.1% ADAPALENE MICRO® GEL AS A WRINKLES PREVENTION REMEDY

You do not have wrinkles yet, but you want to help prevent them from forming for as long as possible. Wrinkles and fine lines are a natural part of aging, but certain products can improve the appearance of your skin and make these lines less noticeable. Deriva MS designed to treat acne, but because it contains a topical retinoid named Adapalene Micro 0.1%, it may help stave off wrinkles as well.

Deriva MS gel contains adapalene in microspheres and comes in a concentration of 0.1 percent. Adapalene micro is a topical retinoid, a medication that is derived from vitamin A It acts as a keratolytic, which aids the skin in loosening the bond between cells and thereby encourages the old ones to fall off and new cells to form. Only a dermatologist can prescribe Deriva MS gel, and its primary purpose is to treat acne. However, because of the keratolytic action of topical retinoids, this gel can also even out your skin tone and make your complexion softer and smoother. By getting rid of dead skin cells and increase the rate at which your skin makes more, adapalene refines your skin’s texture and evens out fine lines or wrinkles. It also helps improve the look of skin that has been damaged by the sun and incurred age spots or other discolorations.

HOW TO USE DERIVA MS ADAPALENE MICRO 0.1% GEL AS AN ANTI-WRINKLE SOLUTION

Apply Deriva MS Gel at night, or as directed by your dermatologist. First, wash your face with a mild cleanser to get rid of any dirt, oil or makeup. Dry your skin thoroughly with a towel and then smooth on a thin layer of the gel. If you have sensitive skin or find that this product makes your face severely dry, recommended washing it off after you have allowed it to stay on for 1 hour. You can also apply the gel every other night.

Some people experience burning, stinging and peeling when they first begin using Deriva MS Gel with strong Adapalene 0.1% component, and the Glenmark states that this usually decreases after 2 weeks of applying the product. If your irritation does not go away, consult your dermatologist, who may recommend that you stop using Deriva MS Gel. Adapalene also makes your skin more prone to sunburn and sun damage, and sunscreen should be applied before you go outdoors.

Applying Deriva MS gel more often or in heavier amounts can cause excessive redness, stinging or peeling, a more frequent application will not enhance the efficacy of the gel. Do not use this product in conjunction with any other acne medications, topical retinoids or other anti-wrinkle creams, as this can cause severe skin irritation. Tell your dermatologist about any other medications you are on and do not add any products to your routine without the first consulting dermatologist.
