What is Soha® Lubricant Eye Drop?
Soha® Lubricant Eye Drop is an eye lubricant. It is used in the treatment of dry eyes. It moistens the eyes and relief from discomfort and temporary burning. Sodium hyaluronate/Hyaluronic acid eye drops are also known as ‘artificial tears’.
Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally occurring glycosaminoglycan and sodium hyaluronate is the salt form of HA, which is a more stable compound for topical application. It is commonly found in dry eyedrops because it prevents dehydration by binding to water molecules, and is highly biocompatible as it is naturally found in high concentrations in the eye. Clinical studies have shown that HA protects corneal epithelial damage via promoting corneal epithelial wound healing by stimulating epithelial migration, thus improving overall optical quality.
Sodium Hyaluronate 0.1% Eye Drop is usually taken when needed to add moisture to the eye. Use the number of drops as advised by your doctor. Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering any other medication in the same eye to avoid dilution. Do not use a bottle if the seal is broken before you open it. Always wash your hands and do not touch the end of the dropper as this could infect your eye.
It is generally safe to use medicine with no common side effects. Let your doctor know if you experience mild burning or irritation of the eyes. Do not drive, use machinery, or do any activity that requires clear vision until you are sure you can do it safely. Consult your doctor if your condition does not improve or if the side effects bother you.
Soha® Lubricant Eye Drops with Sodium Hyaluronate 0.1% is generally used in the treatment of dry eyes. Normally your eyes produce enough natural tears to help them move easily and comfortably and to remove dust and other particles. If they do not produce enough tears, they can become dry, red, and painful. Dry eyes can be caused by wind, sun, heating, computer use, and some medications. Soha 0.1% Eye Drop keeps your eyes lubricated and can relieve any dryness and pain. This medicine is safe to use with few side effects. If you wear soft contact lenses, you should remove them before applying the drops.

How to use Sodium Hyaluronate 0.1% eye drops
- Wash your hands well before you use the drops.
- Remove the cap from the bottle (or the tip of the unit if you are using a single-use unit).
- Tilt your head back a little and pull the lower lid of your eye downwards to form a pocket.
- Hold the bottle (or single-use unit) upside down near your eye. Try not to touch your eye as you do this.
- Apply enough pressure to release one drop into your eye. Only use a second drop if the first drop is missed going into your eye.
- Close your eye for a minute or two, and press gently on the side of your nose where the corner of your eye meets your nose. This helps to stop the drop from draining away and keeps it in your eye.
- Repeat the process in your other eye if you have been told to use the drops in both eyes.
- Replace the cap (or if you are using a single-use dose unit, throw the used unit away).
